Automated Notifications for Budget Threshold Breaches in EstateFlow Budget Master Module

The system automatically sends notifications via email and SMS when project expenses exceed the budget threshold.

• Notifications are triggered immediately after running the cron job.
• Alerts are sent to the project owner, whose email and phone number are defined under:
  • Setup → Staff → Profile.

2.4.1. SMS Configuration

1. Navigate to Setup → Settings → SMS.
2. Select Africa’s Talking as the SMS provider.
3. Enter the required details and Save the configuration.

2.4.2. Email Template Setup

1. Navigate to Setup → Email Templates.
2. Locate Projects → Notification for Budget Threshold Breaches (Send to Owner).
3. Select the appropriate language and enter the email template details.
4. Click Save.

2.4.3. Sending Notifications

1. Ensure SMS and Email templates are properly configured.
2. Assign the project/sub-project to an employee as the owner.
3. Confirm the owner’s email and phone number are correctly set up.
4. Record project expenses:
   • If Actual Costs exceed the Budget Threshold, the system automatically sends a warning notification to the project owner.
