The Allowance Type settings define the types of allowances used in the Contract Menu of the HR Profile module. These allowances can be taxable or non-taxable, and they form part of employee compensation structures.
1. Creating a New Allowance Type
Step 1: Add a New Allowance Type
- Navigate to the Allowance Type settings.
- Click Add to create a new allowance type.
Step 2: Enter Allowance Type Details
- The system will display the New Allowance Type screen.
- Enter the required details.
- Click Save to confirm the operation or Close to cancel.
Note: The Taxable field provides two options:
- Yes: The allowance is taxable.
- No: The allowance is non-taxable.
(Currently, this setting is for display purposes only. Future system updates will enable tax handling for transactions.)
2. Editing an Allowance Type
Step 1: Select an Allowance Type to Edit
- Locate the allowance type that needs modification.
- Click Edit next to the corresponding entry.
Step 2: Modify Allowance Type Details
- The system will display the Edit Allowance Type screen.
- Make the necessary changes.
- Click Save to confirm the update or Close to discard the changes.
3. Deleting an Allowance Type
Step 1: Select an Allowance Type to Delete
- Locate the allowance type you want to remove.
- Click Delete next to the corresponding entry.
Step 2: Confirm Deletion
- The system will display a confirmation message.
- Click OK to proceed with deletion or Cancel to abort the action.
4. Exporting Allowance Types
Method 1: Export All Allowance Types
- Click Display → Select All to view all available allowance types.
- Click Export and choose the preferred file format.
Method 2: Export Allowance Types Based on Search Conditions
- Use the Search function to filter allowance types based on specific criteria.
- Click Export and choose the preferred file format.
Final Notes
- Ensure that allowance types are properly configured before assigning them in the HR Profile module.
- Use the search function to refine results before exporting data.
- Deleted allowance types cannot be recovered, so proceed with caution when deleting records.
